SqlCents 0.3.4 Stable
released this
2026-10-26 23:28:54 -04:00 | 1 commits to main since this releaseCopy as IN clause — the results-grid right-click item, verified live in SSMS 22.
Select cells in an SSMS results grid, right-click, choose Copy as IN clause, and the clipboard holds
IN ( 723500, 723503, 723502, 723501 ). Clipboard only — nothing is inserted at the caret.- Reads the grid directly. SqlCents finds SSMS' own results grid inside the SSMS process and reads the
selected cells, so you do not have to Ctrl+C first. Multi-block selections and several grids on one results
tab are handled. - Literals. Numbers stay bare, grouped money (
1,234,567.80) and hex (0x1A2F) survive, text is quoted
with'doubled ('O''Brien'), an empty cell becomesNULL. - Options ▸ Results Grid. Quote text values, write them as
N'…', treat the textNULLas the keyword,
remove duplicates, sort (lexical or numeric), layout (one line / one value per line), maximum values. - Both grids. The item lands in the SQL grid's right-click menu and in the XMLA/MDX grid's. Fallbacks: the
SqlCents panel button and Tools ▸ SqlCents ▸ Copy as IN clause (results grid).
SSMS 22 (the VS 18 shell) renders no foreign command-table placement in any context menu, so the item is
written into SSMS' own popup command bar when the package loads and is re-added on each SSMS start.Downloads
